Zghurska Anna

I am Anna Zghurska, a Ukrainian surrealist artist currently based in Vienna, originally from Kyiv. My work is inspired by human nature, the subconscious, and metaphysical inquiry. I explore these themes through patterns, organic shapes, and layered abstractions interwoven with recognizable shapes, such as portraits and human figures.

Guided by a process-oriented approach, I allow images to emerge intuitively—between the real and the imaginary, the visible and the hidden. My art is a flow of experience, emotion, and vision, seeking to reveal the vulnerability and intricacy of the human soul. 

I work across a wide range of media, from graphic techniques to oil painting, with a focus on portraiture and surrealist expression. My practice combines an academic foundation with a philosophy of intuition: to follow rather than to force.
